ConnectNC got its start as CompuTutor, Inc., in May of 1995 to fulfill a local need for computer training. An early advocate of Internet use, CompuTutor helped local area businesses and residents connect to and use the Internet. In August of 1995, CompuTutor developed and launched its first web site, Sandhills Online. CompuTutor became known as Internet of the Sandhills in the spring of 1996, when dialup was added to a growing list of services, including computer training, web development and web hosting.

As the Internet evolved, the company adapted and grew. By 2002, a name change was implemented to reflect the expansion of business beyond the Sandhills region, of web design, web hosting, computer support and Internet in Raleigh, Fayetteville, Pinehurst and throughout North Carolina and into the national market. Since then, we have been known as ConnectNC, Inc. Services now include high speed DSL, which has enabled ConnectNC to become the largest independent provider of DSL service in the state of North Carolina.

We’re known for our excellent customer service and presence in the Sandhills for over a dozen years.

In recent years, ConnectNC has widely expanded its web development and hosting business. We’re the area’s largest hosting provider in terms of domains hosted on our premises and the number of customers we serve. ConnectNC is proud to have been chosen the Moore County Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year in 2007.  ConnectNC has been locally owned and operated since its beginning.
