Editing your Thunderbird account settings

  1. Open Thunderbird.

  2. Right click on your email address (account name) or click on "View settings for this account," under "Accounts." ?Click on "Settings."

  3. Next, click on "Server Settings." ?Make sure that your POP account settings look like those in the following screen capture. ?You may be using pinehurst.net or connectnc.net, but your mail server name will always be mail.connectnc.com. ?In our example, we used demo@connectnc.net, but you should replace that with your own full email address.

  4. Next, click on "Outgoing Server (SMTP)." Again, your server name is mail.connectnc.com. You may use port 587 or 25. Your username is your full email address (either @connectnc.net or @pinehurst.net). ?Make sure your settings match what's displayed on the screen capture below. ?If you need to make a change, click the "Edit" button.

  5. Finally, click OK and use Thunderbird to read and send email.
