a. Preferences - Security (change your
password)
When you receive your welcome message, you will
notice that a random password has been assigned. You may
wish to change your password. You may do so by clicking
the "Security" tab under "Preferences" after logging in.
Please, for your own security, do not
use a password that is easy to guess, such as a word in
the dictionary or a family member or pet name.
You will have to type in the old password and then
the new password twice. Then click "Save Password."

b. Preferences - Quarantine Enable/Disable

If you want to have mail scanned, but not detained in
the quarantine inbox, you can click the "No" radio
button and then click "Save Changes." You may like to do
this if you want to have all mail delivered to you, but
want to filter the marked messages to a special folder
in your mail client. The subject line of any mail that
normally would have been kept in the quarantine inbox
will be preceded by [QURA].

c. Preferences - Spam Filter Enable/Disable
If you do not want to have any of your email scanned
for spam, click "No" and then "Save Changes." Viruses
will still be stopped.

d. Preferences - Whitelist/Blacklist

Any email addresses or domains that you wish to
always be allowed may be added to your whitelist. They
will not be quarantined, no matter what the content.
Simply type (or copy & paste) the email address or
domain into the box found below "Allowed Email Addresses
and Domains," and click the "Add" button. Be careful
allowing an entire domain, especially if it's a common
one, such as aol.com, yahoo.com or hotmail.com.

e. Preferences - Quarantine Notification
You have the option of changing the frequency of the
notification interval, or how often you will receive a
notice from the ConnectNC Mail Filter telling you that
you have messages in your quarantine inbox. We do not
recommend changing this value, however, unless you check
your quarantine inbox on your own on a regular basis.
This will prevent you from missing important email that
may be quarantined (possible false positives). If you do
decide to change the frequency, make your choice and
click the "Save Changes" button.
